Gift from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of
Bulgaria H.E. Mr. Ivailo Kalfin to
"Georgi Stoikov Rakovski" Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, New Delhi
On 28 April 2009 at a function in "Georgi Stoikov Rakovski" Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in New Delhi the Ambassador of Bulgaria to India H.E. Mr. Borislav Kostov presented on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria H.E. Mr. Ivailo Kalfin a Personal Computer with a Laser Printer and Multimedia Projector with a Screen as a gift to the School, which bears the name of the great Bulgarian poet and revolutionary Georgi Rakovski. The idea of presenting an appropriate gift to "Georgi Stoikov Rakovski" School that would facilitate the teaching process was put forward by the Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria during his visit to the School on 2 March 2009.
In his speech at the function the Ambassador of Bulgaria emphasized that the Bulgarian side highly appreciated the efforts and the contribution of the teachers, staff members and students of the School in keeping alive the memory of Georgi Rakovski in India, and turning the School into a true symbol of the long-standing friendship between Bulgaria and India.
The function was attended by Mr. Chander Bhushan Kumar, Director of Education, Government of Delhi; Mrs. Anita Satia, Deputy Director of Education (South); Dr. Kasturi Kumari Dahiya, Principal of "Georgi Stoikov Rakovski" S.K.V., teachers and students, as well as diplomats from the Embassy of Bulgaria in Delhi.
