14th session of the Joint Committee on Bulgaria-India Defence Cooperation (JCBIDC) (Sofia, 7 May 2009)

The 14th session of the Joint Committee on Bulgaria-India Defence Cooperation (JCBIDC) was held on 7th May 2009 in Sofia. The Bulgarian delegation was led by Mr. Yavor Kuiumdjiev, Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy, and the Indian delegation was led by Mr. R.K. Mathur, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Defence.

Bulgarian government and industry attribute great importance to the development of Bulgarian-Indian defence cooperation. During the session both sides discussed the possibilities for cooperation in various fields, including armed forces, defence industry, mutual acceptance of government quality assurance of defence related armaments, equipment and cervices, as well for co-operation in the field of Research & Development.

A Protocol of the 14th session of the Joint Committee on Bulgaria-India Defence Cooperation (JCBIDC) was signed.
