The Third session of the Bulgaria – India ICT Forum was held on 15-16 October in Delhi. The delegates discussed issues in the area of ICT policies and strategies, information security, promotion of cooperation between the private sectors, high technology parks, ICT education, encryption and research & development in ICT.
Each delegation presented its national IT industry and the perspectives for further development. Information was exchanged on issues of mutual interest with the aim of identifying specific projects for collaboration. Both sides agreed to set up working groups in priority areas of e-Governance, Technology Park, ICT education, Research & Development and Information Security for close interaction and speedy implementation of future collaborative projects.
The Bulgarian delegation visited STPI, Noida and was acquainted with the experience of India in construction and management of high technology parks. The delegation visited the technology company GlobalLogic Inc., which is a leader in global product development.

The company has developed a joint-venture model of partnership in delivering software products to the market. Another company presented to the delegates was Xansa, which is UK-based outsourcing and technology company and operates across all major business sectors as banking, insurance, public sector, retail, telecoms, travel and logistics and utilities.
Both sides agreed to hold the next 4th session of the ICT forum in Sofia in the second trimester of 2008.
